Cookie Policy
Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how idazery ("we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website and use our digital journaling and planning platform. This policy describes what cookies are, how we use them, the types of cookies we use, and how you can manage your cookie preferences.
Essential cookies are always used, because the platform cannot work without them. Analytics cookies are used only if you accept them in the cookie notice that appears the first time you visit our public pages. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of every public page. If you close the notice without choosing, only the essential cookies are used.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and provide a better user experience.
Cookies allow websites to remember your actions and preferences (such as login status, language, font size, and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don't have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another.
How We Use Cookies
We use cookies for several purposes:
- Essential functionality: To enable core features of our platform, such as user authentication, session management, and secure access to your journal entries and plans.
- Performance and analytics: On our public marketing pages (such as the homepage, pricing page, or blog) only, to understand visit patterns and improve those pages. This never applies to your journal or any page you access after signing in.
- Security: To protect your account and detect suspicious activity or potential security threats.
- Preferences: To remember your settings and preferences, such as language selection and display options.
Types of Cookies We Use
1. Essential Cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary for the operation of our platform. They enable you to navigate our website and use its features, such as accessing secure areas. Without these cookies, our services cannot be properly delivered.
2. Analytics Cookies
These cookies are set by Google Analytics only on our public marketing pages (for example, the homepage, pricing page, or blog) to help us understand how visitors interact with those pages. They are never set on your journal, your entries, or any page you access while signed in.
3. Functional Cookies
These cookies allow our platform to remember choices you make (such as your username, language, or the region you are in) and provide enhanced, more personalized features.

Analytics and Third-Party Cookies
We use Google Analytics, but only on our public marketing pages (such as the homepage, pricing page, or blog) to understand how visitors find and use those pages. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information in an anonymous form, including the number of visitors, where they came from, and the pages they visited.
For more information about Google Analytics cookies, please visit the Google Privacy Policy.
We also use a couple of first-party cookies (idz_visitor and idz_landing),
also only on our public pages, to understand how those pages are used and which ones best help people sign up. These are not
shared with any third party, including Google.
Note: Google Analytics is never active on your journal, your entries, or any page you access after signing in. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not track you across other websites or sell your personal information to third parties.
Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies. You can exercise your cookie preferences by adjusting the settings in your web browser.
You can accept, reject or change the analytics cookies at any time with the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of every public page. Rejecting or withdrawing your consent is as easy as giving it, and it removes the analytics cookies this browser already has.
Browser Settings
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. Here's how to manage cookies in common browsers:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Cookies and website data
- Edge: Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Cookies and site permissions
Opting Out of Google Analytics
You can prevent Google Analytics from recognizing you on return visits to our public pages by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Important: Please note that blocking or deleting cookies may impact your experience on idazery. Some features may not function properly, and you may need to manually adjust your preferences each time you visit.
Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
We encourage you to review this Cookie Policy periodically to stay informed about how we use cookies and how you can manage your preferences.
